Downloading Ad Finitum

This utility is designed to work together with Microsoft's Internet
Explorer (5.5 or later) to allow detection and blocking of "Web Bugs" and
"Third Party Graphics" and, when registered, additional Parental Control over
sites displayed by Internet Explorer.
This evaluation copy is fully functional except for the Parental
Controls feature. It will, after a period of use, remind you how nice it would be for me
(the author) if you would register (cost $7). These reminders
will then occasionally recur.
The program runs under Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP (or later).

The file name is "af.zip". The current version is 6.004. The
file size is 814,389 bytes.

To check your version number start Internet Explorer, click on it's Tools menu and select
"Ad Finitum Options...".
The Ad Finitum version number is displayed in the ensuing Configuration dialog box or you
can, if registered,
click on the "Upgrades?" button in the Configuration dialog to allow for
an automatic check for a newer version.
Once you have downloaded Ad Finitum:-
- You may need a copy of PKZIP
for DOS or PKZIP for
Windows to extract
the distribution files (Command prompt:- "pkunzip af.zip").
- By all means virus check the files to ensure your peace of mind!
- If you are running Windows 2000 or XP you must be logged on using
an account with Administrator rights to install Ad Finitum.
- Whether you are upgrading or installing the program for the first time
run "SETUP.EXE" (or the program SETUP of type
Application)
and follow the instructions in the InstallShield
wizard.
- Optionally, virus check the newly installed program files.
